ITINERARY

Day 1 -Casablanca – Rabat

• Arrival in Casablanca
• Begin your journey by visiting the Beth-El Synagogue, the largest and most important in the city.
• Explore the Jewish Museum of Casablanca, the only one of its kind in the Arab world.
• Visit the iconic Hassan II Mosque, the second-largest functioning mosque in Africa.
• Transfer to Rabat
• Travel to Rabat (1.5-hour drive).
• In Rabat, visit the Mellah (Jewish Quarter) and the Royal Palace.
• Stop by the Mausoleum of Mohammed V and the Hassan Tower.   Overnight in Rabat.

Day 2 -Rabat – Meknes

• Morning Exploration of Rabat
• Visit the Chellah Necropolis and explore the ancient ruins.
• Visit the Jewish Cemetery in Rabat, a site of deep historical significance.
• Transfer to Meknes
• Drive to Meknes (2-hour drive).
• Visit the old Mellah of Meknes.
• Explore Bab Mansour, the impressive city gate, and stroll through the medina.
• Stop at the Royal Stables and the Agdal Reservoir. Overnight in Meknes.

Day 3 -Fes – Medinas Tour

• Transfer to Fes
• Travel to Fes (1-hour drive).
• Explore Fes el-Bali, the ancient walled city of Fes, which houses one of the oldest Jewish quarters in Morocco.
• Visit the Ibn Danan Synagogue, one of the oldest in North Africa.
• Walk through the Mellah and visit the Jewish Cemetery.
• Continue to the Al-Qarawiyyin University, the oldest continuously operating university in the world.
• Visit the famous tanneries and local artisan workshops.

Overnight in Fes.

Day 4 -Sefrou and Bhalil

Sefrou Day Trip
• Travel to Sefrou (30-minute drive), a town known for its Jewish heritage.
• Explore the Sefrou Mellah and learn about the historic Jewish presence.
• Visit the local synagogue and Sefrou’s waterfalls.
• Bhalil
• Continue to the nearby town of Bhalil.
• Discover the unique troglodyte homes built into the hillside.
• Visit local artisans and experience traditional crafts.

Return to Fes for the night.

Day 5 -Fes – Casablanca

• Return to Casablanca
• Travel back to Casablanca (4-hour drive).
• Free afternoon to explore Quartier Habous, an interesting mix of Moroccan and French colonial architecture.
• Visit the Jewish Cemetery and learn about the Jewish history in Casablanca.

Overnight in Casablanca.

Day 6 -Casablanca (Departure)

• Casablanca City Tour
• Visit the Mahkama du Pacha, a grand palace with impressive architecture.
• Stroll through the Central Market to experience the bustling city life.
• Visit the Museum of Moroccan Judaism if time permits.
• Departure from Casablanca’s Mohammed V Airport.
